Prosciutteria New Factory - MARANELLO

Prosciutteria New Factory, is just off the road outside Maranello, Italy. If you are in the area I can recommend this restaurant for its service and food. It doesn't stand out but you'll find it at a junction just up off the main road. There is outside seating with plastic chairs and tables but don't let this put you off. The staff are very friendly, some speak some english and very helpful. We didn't see the menu but they offered a range of pastas. We were looking for authentic Italian cuisine, real Italian food other than pasta. Food that Italians themselves enjoy, so we waited a while and it was worth the wait. They brought us a board of meats, a plate of cheeses, a spread with ricotta and jam, garlic and rosemary and parmesan cheese to sprinkle, little round flat breads when opened were steaming hot, deep fried pillow like bread pockets fill them as you please, it was such a wonderful meal, I still think about it, we finished off with coffees and they brought us a surprise plate of cake, jam pie and chocolate torte. I can't remember what it cost, but it was worth it. The Prosciutteria New Factory is a hidden gem!
