Maplewood Deli Coffeehouse

Busy coffee shop could also pass for a hangout spot! Lots of 20-30 somethings at work on laptops. Nice location in Maplewood. Reasonable prices and solid food. Oh...and they have macarons too!

What a charming little spot! This is only my second visit, and the staff already recognize me! They know about my fondness for hot chocolate, which is fantastic here. Unlike the overly sweet and artificial options you find in stores, theirs is wonderfully subtle and delicious. I also really enjoy their food; the grilled cheese panini has a unique flavor that sets it apart. I absolutely love this place and plan to become a regular!

The atmosphere is fun, funky, and hip with a bohemian vibe, perfectly capturing the spirit of Maplewood, where purple-haired locals thrive. Their cookies are delicious! However, I would appreciate it if they brought the drinks to the table after ordering since I feel a bit self-conscious when my order is announced in front of everyone.

This is one of my favorite coffeehouses in the area. I've sampled various lattes, and each one has been fantastic—no bitterness or excessive sweetness like you find in some other spots. My favorite is the Lavender latte, which never lets me down. The peanut butter blonde and macaroons are also exceptional. The owner and staff are friendly and authentic. You really should give it a try; you won't be disappointed!

This is my second time visiting Maplewood Deli and Coffeehouse (formerly known as Foundation Grounds). The staff has been SO welcoming and friendly each time. Their latte 's are top-notch (seasonal honey cinnamon pictured), and their food is great aswell! It 's such a warm and inviting environment to sit and work or visit with friends. There are several neat touchesthroughout the space, but my favorite is the Pay it Forward coffee board where you can purchase a coffee for someone, forinstance, having a bad day. They can redeem it using the sticky notes (pictured below). Definitely one of my favorite coffeespots I 've visited in STL so far!
