Great space. Great service. Very hip with an inventive menu but very yummy. Highly recommend.

This Pizza Champ pop up is the best New York style pizza I have had outside of New York. It may be the best pizza in St Louis that I have had. We got a sausage pizza, which comes with red peppers and onions, and we got an cheese pizza with onions and mushroom conserva. The crust was perfectly crisp with the right amount of chew. The sauce was rich and tangy, and the cheese/topping ratio was perfect. I had never heard of mushroom conserva, but it had a great texture and incredible flavor. And I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

I ordered from Elmwood for the first time today. I have heard so many great things about it and I was excited to try it. I ordered the When in Rome pizza and a slice of yellow cake with chocolate icing. I couldn't wait to get home and have a slice of pizza, it looked delicious but looks are deceiving! The pizza was dry and the crust was burnt and it had a strange taste to it. It was disappointing to say the least. Then came the cake, I love yellow cake with chocolate icing and after the disappointment with the pizza I was looking forward to the cake. When you think of cake, you think of moist deliciousness but this cake was for from moist. It was dry and tasted like it had been left out to get hard and stale. The cake was mealy like dry cornbread. Not what I expected from this restaurant. Both the pizza and cake ended up in the trash.

Glad they opened up again. Currently offering a mix of their pizza champ menu and the old elmwood menu. Service was awesome, and the food was absolutely incredible. Started with oysters, pork skewers, and grilled romain Caesar. All unique and definitely worth ordering again. Also split a burger and pizza. Pizza was fantastic as always, and the burger was easily one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I made a reservation for dinner tonight and everything was SO GREAT! Our server Hannah was wonderful!! We each had a couple cocktails, and they were all so tasty! We enjoyed the mild wings and the taco pizza and again, so tasty! I have been so impressed with the way elmwood transitioned into a pizza pop-up type restaurant during Covid, and it's so cool to see how successful it has been. As someone who spent a lot of time in the industry myself, I have a ton of respect for the chefs and owners here, and how creative they are!! We can't wait to come back soon and bring some friends! : thanks you elmwood for a wonderful dining experience.
