Portillo's Hot Dogs - Maple Grove

The atmosphere, service, and food at this hot dog restaurant were all better than what you would typically expect. My wife is a fan of the *** hot dog, and while a hot dog is generally just a hot dog, Portillo's really stands out. I particularly enjoyed the Italian beef sandwich and we tried the Greek salad for the first time today; both were excellent, and we're definitely planning to order them again. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming, and they offer a diverse menu.

Upon arriving at Portillo's, we were welcomed by cheerful vintage jazz music, which set a delightful atmosphere for our dining experience. It truly is one of my favorite restaurant environments, filled with many unique and vintage items adorning the walls. Today, I ordered a chili dog and the #3 combo (which includes a cheeseburger, fries, and a soda) that I shared with my husband. Everything was quite good! I especially loved the fries. The burger was enormous, and the chili dog had a wonderful flavor. My only critique—not just for today’s meal but for Portillo's in general—is that I find their rolls a bit too soft compared to the heartiness of the protein. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal, and the staff members were friendly as well. Naturally, we had to end our meal with the chocolate cake shake, which is absolutely worth a trip on its own. Amazing!

This place truly captures the essence of Chicago. The food and atmosphere are both genuine and authentic. The location is nestled within a vibrant community, and you won’t regret choosing to dine here. I always enjoy my visits!

Eat in here for the first time. My son just finished second grade and brought him here as a treat. Every single person wasn't really friendly. We feel welcome. They even seemed to pick up on this special bonding moment and the manager bought my son a piece of chocolate cake. Hands down restored my faith to go to restaurants to sit down and eat. There was a lady there also the dining room that was very sweet and checked several times for us. My son and I are doing this regularly. I cannot emphasize enough how great everyone was and their customer service was very appreciated today.

Drive thru service was poppin. Team was phenomenal and really enthusiastic. Food was not too bad, my first time being here even though I pass by it often. Hot dogs were pretty big, and had fresh and crunchy (not slimy/squished) toppings.
