Striper's Grill - Manteo

Love this place! Especially since we can walk over from where we life. The quesadilla is my favorite thing on the menu! The $5 mimosas on Sunday are great too! It?s fun sitting outside and watching the boats come in and out!

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience here. I visited with a group of five, and we all agreed it might have been the worst restaurant we've been to in the past year. They charged $27 for shrimp Alfredo that had just four pieces of frozen shrimp and a watery sauce. The fish platter, priced at $22, consisted of two bite-sized pieces of pre-frozen fish and cold fries. To top it off, the calamari was the worst I've ever tasted. The prices were even higher than those I'm accustomed to in New York City. Do yourself a favor and dine anywhere else. The prices were terrible, and the food was even worse. I’m only giving it a second star because the staff were quite friendly, and drinks were affordably priced.

Fantastic restaurant with a lovely view of the water! My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and absolutely loved it. I tried the catch of the day, which was red snapper. While it could have used a bit more seasoning, I was still satisfied with my meal. We couldn't resist dessert, and I opted for the lava cake.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a sunset meal. I highly recommend securing a spot on the patio! The steamed seafood, particularly the clams, was excellent, while the lobster bisque was just okay—consider opting for the cream of crab soup instead. The shrimp and grits also come highly recommended!

Been here a few times. Beautiful views. Local place. Food is good. Service is good.
