Black Bear Diner Manteca

We ordered two BIGFOOT Chicken Fried Steak Eggs and loved that the gravy was served on the side. The meal was delicious and highly recommended.

The waffle was fantastic, but the hash browns were disappointingly soggy and reminded me of eating noodles. The country gravy was very bland.

The chicken was dry, the fries were soggy and greasy, the BLT bread was not toasted. The bacon had a good flavor but was greasy. The sandwich was easy to make, but Black Bear has not mastered it. The fruit bowl was overpriced. My family used to love this restaurant, but every so often we give it another try, only to be disappointed again. The ranch or mayo had a sour, tangy flavor that was off-putting in both the sandwich and the side of ranch.

Terrible sandwich. Very crumbly! Fries were extremely cold. Wont order this again.

Just back from a trip with my friend Basker Hobbins, where we set up some fishing traps and enjoyed the outdoors. Basker was so eager to stop at Black Bear Diner in Manteca on our way back. He couldn't stop asking if we were almost there. You would think a grown man would act more mature about dinner, but the prospect of dining at Black Bear Diner always gets us excited. The Porterhouse steak was absolutely fantastic! 5 stars for sure.
