We loved the restaurant and are thrilled we can still enjoy the flavors of our favorite place to dine! We miss the beautiful decor, great service, and Bollywood videos. If you haven’t tried Saffron, what are you waiting for?

Amazing food and service. I have been to India and I know first hand what food tastes and looks like. This place is amazing and we need to support them, so we can have places like this in Mansfield! Love everything about it!

Mansfield 's experiment with Indian cuisine , located in a restaurant adjacent to the city square in downtown Mansfield , offers a variety of vegetable , beef , chicken , pork and seafood variables in addition to a few of my personal favorites .... tandoori chicken , Raita , channa masala , samosas and an excellent tasting naan ! For newcomers to Indian cuisine , may I suggest the afternoon buffet , as it presents a variety of dishes for you to sample , and is economically priced . While a few standard Indian cuisines may be on the spicy side , this restaurant does it right by presenting its dishes with a mild flavoring and Making the heat intensity available as a shakeable add on ! Kudos for that idea ! Service is quick , and friendly , with the good humored servers taking the time to explain and then recommend various dishes based upon customer preferences . While I 'm not sure that the potential customer base in Mansfield is large enough to support this type of fare , I do wish the proprietors continued success in their business ! My rating : a great 4 1/2 out of 5 stars Give the place a try mansfielders , broaden your horizons ! ¥ U P D A T E Unfortunately , as I had feared , there appears to not have been enough of a customer base to support this venture , as the business , after a six year run has now permanently closed its doors ! It 's A pity that not more Locals were willing enough to give this type of cooking a try , as they may have really enjoyed the Diversity of its tastes ! Kudos to the owners for the opportunity of a unique dining experience and apologies for the lack of a larger response to your offerings ! ADVISORY The location of the former Saffron restaurant at 10 South Park Street in Mansfield 's downtown Central Park district , is Soon to welcome the birth of another new eatery Which is To be called the REINDEER GRILLE . It is my understanding that this is a re location of an already existing mom and pop style restaurant Whose proprietors are moving to the area from their current home in Aquasco Maryland to be closer to family members Who live locally . The couple brings with them 4 children and a file box full of recipes that were favorites of their former clientele . The planned opening of this New enterprise is targeted for the late summer of 2018 , And rumor has it that amongst other tried and true offerings that the menu will feature some great tasting Crab cakes ! We wish the new venture a long business life and look forward to reviewing this facility as soon as As it opens its doors ! So , for now , As the old tv bromide usually announces : stay tuned for further developments ! ¥ !
