Lu Gattone - MANOPPELLO

A friend of ours has brought us for a nice weekend to manoppello. that was the first station when we arrived in the city. we have been extremely welcomed. did not hurt that our friend knew the family. we ordered a local table wine that was very good. the antipasti was good, like the primi. the secondi was arrosticini and several contorni. everything was great. we're going back to manoppello.

A group of us recently went here after we had visited the holy facial church on the hill. fantastic local lunch, worth a change!

Recommend this hidden restaurant by owner bruder close to town that has its own bar closed. what a fantastic discovery, great welcome local cuisine is worth it good value for money

We have eaten here many times and are almost always the only non-locals in the place. Have seen the local soccer team, the bands who are playing on the nearby festas, etc. The prices are super reasonable, the food is fresh and cooked to order....No menus here, they just ask what you want and/or tell you what is available. Arrostocini is always good here as is the homemade ravioli. They will often bring a little sweet or an after dinner cordial on the house at the end of the meal. A real locals place...reserve on weekends or holidays as they can fill up. And remember when in Abruzzo, as most anywhere in Italy, once seated that table is yours for the night. Sit back, relax and soak up the wonderful Abruzzese hospitality and your wallet will thank you here! :

This is a very traditional restaurant set just outside Manoppello. It is so popular that you need to book if you want to eat here on a Sunday. It is also popular with coaches that visit the Volto Santo which is just 5 minutes up...the road. My husband and I are both vegetarian and they are very happy to cater for you if you let them know. The Mama who does the cooking can rustle up a delicious ricotta and spinach ravioli with delicious home made tomato sauce. If you a meat eater you will enjoy the arrostoccini a local favourite. Good home cooked traditional food with welcome hosts Like most of the restaurants, do not expect to have a quick meal- enjoy a long Italian lunch/dinner. By the way the son who works in the establishment can speak english after having spent some time working in Ireland.
