Kleiner Rosengarten - Mannheim

Aperitif verwässert, Hauptgang-Anlieferung dauert viel zu lange, Hauptgang nur lauwarm, als Weissweinempfehlung zwei Deutsche (kein Italienischer??). Eine der beiden Servicekräfte (die Dame) nicht sehr freundlich. Bedienung unaufmerksam. Geschmacklich ok. Viel zu teuer für diese Leistung,

Ich kenne den Kleinen Rosengarten nur in der Mittagspause, mag also sein, dass Abendservice und Qualität des Essens dann anders sind - der "Business Lunch" ist aber wenig empfehlenswert.Anders als andere Bewerter kann ich am Service nichts aussetzen, wir fühlten uns völlig ok bedient, Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit waren nicht auffallend großartig, aber ausreichend.Zum Essen: wir hatten gegrillten Lachs, Pasta mit Orangen-Lachssauce und Lasagne. Generell fanden wir die Portionen nicht übermäßig groß (speziell beim gegrillten Lachs musste das Pizzabrot ein bisschen nachfüllen, da die Beilagenmenge eher lachhaft war) und optisch wenigüberzeugend. Wirklich mies war die Lasagne: angekündigt als Lasagne Bolognese erwartet man als Füllung die gute alte tomatenbasierte Hackfleischsauce. Leider zeigte sich bereits beim ersten Bissen eine Art Potpourri unterschiedlichster Fleischwaren von Schinken, einer Art kleingeschnittenen Bratenresten und (die Meinungen gingen auseinander) Etwas, das wie dünne Lyonerstreifen wirkte. Das war leider hochgradig unschön und geschmacklich ziemlich unterirdisch. Im Sommer sitzt man ganz nett auf der großen Terasse, preislich ist es zur Mittagszeit völlig ok - vom Essen sollte man allerdings wenig erwarten.

Ich war hier mit einer Freundin zu einem Essen unter der Woche um die Mittagszeit.Wir wurden umgehend von zwei!!! überaus bemühten Personen umsorgt. Wir wählten ein Gericht aus der Business Lunch Karte, welches uns sehr zusagte. Preislich absolut ok, qualitativ gut und frisch. Service schnell und freundlich.Auch das Dessert (Panna cotta incl Esspresso) sehr empfehlenswert und günstig..Weiter so!

This is in a historical building with the most fairy-tale like roof (Marry Poppins, Peter Pan). I'd love to stay in the attic (this is also a hotel, so it's not too off the wall to say that).The inside is really interesting - on the walls looking in, there are beautiful plates on the wall at the top, and rows upon rows of bottles. This is an allusion to the repurposed wine-cellar with the beautiful brick ceiling. If you have to use the powder room, you will see it. This is one time where the powder room is a highlight. But I digress.We were talking about the restaurant interior. Framing the windows are really adorable tiles. The doorway is like a little house pertruding IN the building, and has a cute little roof on it. In the main room, it's all faux brick, but it's really wonderful, and there's a really neat-looking clock centered over some shelves. I really can't remember too much more of that room, because we were positioned in front of the bar, and door to the kitchen, which was also really interesting, because there is a fireplace where they also make their pizzas. REALLY COOL (or hot).The food was really very nice. I had a lovely Ravioli with asparagus and spinach in it. It was really delicious, but my stomach was really full by the time the food came around (we had appetizers to make the wait less torturous), that I wasn't at all disappointed that the portion was rather small. Indeed, I ate 2 1/2 of the last three ravioli on my plate with gluttony, and because I was afraid of it being thrown away if I didn't eat it. This was not an inexpensive restaurant. My son had a really great pizza with carpaccio, gargonzola and rucola, and could only eat half. Luckily for us, they packed it in a pizza carton (nice looking-digressing again), and he only ate a little more, leaving the other half for us! DELICIOUS HEATED UP IN THE MICROWAVE AT HOME. I'm getting that the next time I go, and I will, because it's a special-occasion place, it seems, and I have a friend, whose birthday I would like to celebrate.

Wir waren hier unter der Woche essen und hatten einen Tisch für 19:30Uhr reserviert, nachstehend unsere BewertungPositiv: da das Restaurant nicht voll war, hat sich das Personal durch aus Zeit genommen um auf unsere Wünsche ein zu gehen. Die alkoholfreien Aperitif waren sehr lecker,sind jedoch nicht auf der Karte zu finden. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir beide Fisch, welcher sehr lecker war.
