Gary's Pizza - Mankato

This is our weekly pizza place. Many people here know me on a first name basis, which is really fun. However, the quality of their food is really important. For the money, I didn't find pizza in Mankato that I enjoyed more than Gary's. The crust is really fresh, and if you are there at the right time, you can look for them to bring the simply made dough into the kitchen. It can sometimes wait a little longer than they tell you, but staff problems are everywhere these days. I've only come to Gary for about half a year, but there's nowhere else I really want to go for hot, fresh pizza.

Ordered 3 pizzas, a laib garlic bread and 2 pounds buffalo wing for our party group and the whole table delighted!! Several comments on the quality of garlic bread. Some prefer the thin crust to the traditional, but thought both were excellent. The BBQ chicken pizza was my favorite with the right amount of BBQ sauce and lots of chicken. The Speck Cheeseburger Pizza had a really fresh taste, probably due to the beautiful amount of freshly diced tomatoes on it, YUM! The wings were traditional buffalo sauce, and there was no shortage of sauce!! The bone-in version was really tasteful and not a strange alien size of wings or leg like some places, just normal bone-in wings as before the wing snap. We ordered carry-out style and the guy who works the counter was really friendly and fun and not an inferior zombie running a cashier. How refreshing! The order was ready in time and hot. We will definitely order Gary 's Pizza again! Especially on Sunday when the competition (I look at Pagliai 's) is closed!!! How can you be a great pizza place if you are closed the most important pizza day of the week!?? Don't worry... Gary is open 7 days a week!!

Nick and Ryan deserve a raise. They beat our cheeks with their sauce.

They have sauerkraut as a topping, automatic 5 stars. Tastes great as well.

Gary’s is always authentically no frills and delicious. The staff are always welcoming to my family when we eat in and delivery is always with a smile. Jalapeno popper pizza is the best!
