Ruby's Roadhouse - Mandeville

Excellent service and fantastic music! There's always a lively crowd at Ruby's!

This is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a cold beer. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making everyone feel like family. It's the only bar I know that opens at 9 AM on weekends and features live bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Ruby's doesn't try to be anything it isn't. It's simply Ruby's Roadhouse. Come for the music, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere while you’re here.

Great little bar (with a back patio) that has amazing music. Just saw Tab Benoit at this little place a few days ago, and it was amazing. However, note to the owners: GET SOME MORE AC, CEILING FANS, ICE BLOCKS, SOMETHING TO COOL THE PLACE DOWN! Holy Cow, I was drenched in sweat, and everyone was talking about how UNBELIEVABLY hot it was. Really detracted from an amazing performance. $20 a head, and y'all can't buy a few ceiling fans? As much as I like Ruby's in many ways, I won't go back for a major performer like Tab until they manage to make it tolerable.

I lived in Mandeville for several years and occasionally visited Ruby's. It's a fantastic dive bar with affordable drink prices and a solid lineup of good bands. The decor is quirky and somewhat kitschy, and the patrons add to its charm. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit, especially when a good band is playing.
