Contribuiți la feedback5 of us stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and we really enjoyed everything. Appetizers and meal were great. We had some ground wild boar pasta and some cod. Everyone was impressed. Even the cappuccino was excellent. I would definitely recommend if you’re in Montemerano. The service was also excellent.
Family owned and operated local restaurant. We were served by the family matriarch and her son. She is a born salesperson. Of equal note for good service was Diego and Maria. Of course, I ordered her off-the-menu choice of a fresh pasta with pureed fava beans. Yum! It was a well presented, well prepared and delicious. My partner and I order the grilled pork which was delicious in a red wine reduction sauce. The only disappointment was the tiny portion of potato. The house wine was poor quality. We expected much better from an area renown for its white wines. We also indulged in the deserts which were disappointing. The description of the pineapple carpaccio marinated in cardamon was too good not to order. Unfortunately, the pineapple was not sweet and had no taste of cardamon that either of us could discern. The fire d'latte gelato was delicious. The creme brûlée was supposed to be made with sage and lemon. We could taste the lemon but no sage. We ordered it because of its unique appeal. Beware of the desserts. Would I return to dine here? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes but again beware of the house wine and the desserts.
It has been a peasant surprise. We hadn’t booked and, despite the high season, we were welcome very warmly, included our doggy. We followed the suggestions of the chef and we had an excellent and satisfactory dinner. The plus is that they use traditional Tuscany ingredients with an innovative and tasty cuisine, with attention to lactose and gluten intollerante, that’s great! The menu has several dishes for not meat-eaters and for vegetarian. We had a menu including fresh porcini mushrooms and truffles for 50 € each. Really valued for money. The staff is friendly and professional. We will come back surely!

La cortesia del proprietario e la gentilezza del personale! i ravioli fatti a mano, le fettuccine, formaggi con miele e marmellate. il dolce caldo con un tocco di pera. e il vino coccolato meraviglioso!
