My experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. We decided to try their takeaway option and ended up with one naan bread for two kebabs. The falafel I ordered tasted like it had been sitting in the kitchen for days and there were hairs in the chips. The food was disgusting, overpriced, and overrated. Additionally, the service while ordering and picking up our food was awful and dismissive. I will not be returning to this establishment.
We have been loyal customers of Turkish Delight for 25 years, but the takeaway we received today was terrible - bland and lacking in flavor. We are left wondering if there has been a change in ownership during the pandemic.
Popped in for something sweet and bought a single Rum Baba and a portion of Baklawa which is 3 small pieces of 4cm square. Got home and found what you can see in the photos attached. After trying both desserts the bin was their destiny or maybe the national history Museum for their age. This place used to sell first glass Turkish grilled food and dessert but I think it should be called Turkish Nightmare instead of Turkish Delight. By the way… I was mugged of £10.50 for these antique desserts. Very very sad for a place of such history.
Gone downhill since last visit. Cold food. Not freshly cooked (out of metal box rather than off grill). Minimal salad selection. Didn’t ask what sauces I’d like. Grimly and stressed staff. Not sure what’s happened to this place but that’s me done.
