The Bangkok Bar Restaurant - Manchester

I made a reservation for my husband's birthday at this restaurant, but when we arrived, we waited 29 minutes for a bottle of Merlot. Instead, they brought a Malbec and said that was all they had. There were no staff around, and we had to wait an additional 45 minutes before someone would serve us. The manager was busy on her phone. We were extremely disappointed and decided to leave and find another place, even though it was raining outside.

The food was delicious and the service was very welcoming. I will definitely be returning.

I'm pretty sure it's an old underground casino with no windows and strange decor, but the food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

Not much by way of options, but it was delicious all the same. Recommend taking a look at the menu at Try Thai for variety. The venue is very large but the restaurant is a small bit at the side. It isn't very well lit and we were 2 of only approx 6 diners at the time. I used my Gourmet Society card and received a very welcome 50% off the food. Not 100% sure I'd eat there for dullfull price, however I'd certainly return with my card. Friendly and prompt service. Give it a go :
