Gio's - Manchester

I went to this restaurant on March 23rd for a mid-afternoon meal. The service was fantastic and the restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. My companion and I opted for the pre-theatre set menu. I was not impressed with the prawn cocktail as a starter. It seemed like it had been prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge, as it was very cold and the lettuce was a bit wilted. However, the main course, the Pollo Alla Crema, was delicious. The accompanying vegetables were also fresh and crunchy. In conclusion, it was a pleasant meal overall.

We went for our wedding anniversary on Sunday night. The food we had was absolutely gorgeous. It was a shame it wasn't a bit busier. We would definitely return and would recommend this restaurant.

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. It was our first time in Manchester and this restaurant made us want to come back for more. The staff was incredibly friendly and even acknowledged my husband's birthday. Trust me, you won't regret dining here!

Sadly we cannot suggest that this is a restaurant that is good. We found the pasta dishes we had were heavy handed and the pasta carbonara a disappointment. We were left feeling that it was quite expensive for the standard however the staff appeared helpful and pleasant. The good reviews we had seen prior to visiting however indicate that some people like the restaurant. We however would not choose to return

What a surprise! Amazing food, absolutely delicious this restaurant has old fashioned charm. Loved it!
