Contribuiți la feedbackThis was my second visit to the restaurant, but my first time at their new location. We made a reservation online, which turned out to be a smart move as the place was crowded (Thursday evening). We ordered the Chillkäse chick’n Burger and the kimchi chick’n Burger, along with some Thai fries to share. Even my husband, who is usually hard to impress, was delighted by the decoration of the dishes. We also indulged in a slice of lemon cake, which was delicious. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a vegan IPA. We had a pleasant conversation with Grace, who is the owner's mother and was very friendly.
Unfortunately, when we left, they were out of chicken burgers, but the alternative options were still delicious. The beef burgers were quite thin, but they had great flavor. Our non-vegan friend was very impressed! However, we did find it to be on the pricey side at £65 for three people, including a burger, side, and drink each (with only one drink being alcoholic). Our updated rating is from March 14, 2023.
This quaint restaurant has a charming ambiance and decor. We were able to snag a table as walk-ins, but I recommend making a reservation in advance due to their popularity. We tried the special Sunday menu, ordering the roast and the Smash Burger (a Bratenburger) with Cauli Cheese Poppers and an extra truffle Mayo Dip. The food was absolutely delicious, easily deserving a 5/5 rating. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, we waited over 45 minutes for our food after placing our order, extending our total dining time to over an hour. This unexpected delay caused us to rush through our meal as we had a train to catch, resulting in the food being somewhat lukewarm. Despite the wait, the food was really tasty, but the overall experience was impacted by the delay. We noticed that others who arrived after us were served before us, so it could have been an issue with our order specifically. For dessert, we had a Biscoff Brownie and a berry tart, both of which were delicious. Our bill came to over £50 for 2 mains, a side, a soft drink, and 2 desserts (excluding service charge), making it quite pricey. However, the quality of the food was excellent, and without the wait, it would have been well worth it.
Unreal burgers and sides, honestly, everything was really delicious and the staff was friendly and fast to bring the food and drinks. In any case come back!
If you are shopping in Manchester Arndale you have to go here !! And if your not then take a trip and go here smashed beefy style burgers are the besttt ! Hard to get a seat as it is with other eateries and the whole area is always really busy. No longer in the the Arndale, but not far, address has been updated on happy cow. Still highly recommend, we went here 3 Sundays in a row at Christmas for the Sunday roast, (think this was just for the Christmas menu) We absolutely loved it, my partner is not a Christmas dinner Sunday roast fan but he loved ittt and we are both gutted it is not on the menu all year round !!
