We ordered a crock of chili with cheese which came with a grilled corn muffin, eggs benedict with homefries, an egg white veggie omelet with beans and raisin toast, and coffee. After anxiously but patiently waiting for our food, breakfast had finally arrived. The chili was average. A little too sweet and lacked any sign of meat. Also the corn muffin wasn't much different than the ones you can buy in the bakery at your local supermarket. The eggs benedict didn't reach our expectations either. The eggs were undercooked, the English muffin was just about burnt, and the hollandaise sauce was used sparingly. Although the homefries were good, with just enough seasoning. The egg white veggie omelet was satisfactory. Would've been more enjoyable if the veggies could've been grilled first but upon ordering our waitress informed us that was not an option but the veggies are fresh and steam cooked in the omelet. The beans were bland but the raisin toast was delicious. The coffee was good and the waitresses kept our cups full just as we had asked. The staff was friendly and very accommodating but overall our experience at “Julien’s Corner Kitchen” was a disappointment.
If you are looking for a small, homey place with food from scratch and friendly atmosphere...Juliens is the place for you. You can tell a Chef is cooking...not a Fry Cook. Each is cooked to perfection and the presentation is appealing, but not fussy. I eat breakfast and lunch there often.
My wife and I have had breakfast here weekly for over three years! They offer specials, eggs and meats, cereals, juices and a very cordial wait staff.
We happened upon Julien's Corner Kitchen on the way up to see the changing of the foliage. The waitress was friendly/prompt (even suggested the route we took). The food was excellent. We were surprised by the china. I know we'd drive the 44 miles to go back.
I have been to breakfast at Julien's Corner Kitchen on several different occasions. Every visit has delighted me with a hot, delicious meal. During one visit I unfortunately did receive toast that was quite burnt. However, upon notifying the waitress, new lightly toasted bread was returned. The servers have been attentive, while not rushing any of the parties that I have been with. As a bonus to go along with the great food and service, the decor is adorable. I would recommend Julien's to anyone looking for a new breakfast place.
