Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant had all the negatives: poor service, bland food, and high prices. I wouldn't recommend it for any occasion. Make sure to read some reviews before you go, as our experience truly spoiled the start of our weekend. Nobody in our group had anything positive to say about the outing, and since everyone ordered different meals, it was clearly not just a one-time issue. It's highly overrated.
Our waitress didn’t mention any specials, and we all forgot to ask about them. One member of our party ordered chicken parmesan, which she loved, yet she admitted it looked and tasted greasy—definitely artery-clogging! We ended up asking for the risotto to be removed from our bill because I couldn't eat it at all. Additionally, our water was never refilled unless we specifically asked; I drank both my own water and someone else's before our waitress returned to collect our plates and I could request more. We typically make better Italian food at home, but sometimes you just want to dine out. Unfortunately, we'll be skipping this restaurant for a while.
My wife and I visited Fratello's last week, and we both ordered veal dishes that were outstanding! The ambiance really captures the charm of the historic mill city—it's one of the best we've experienced. If you're looking for a chain restaurant with a less authentic, homemade feel, you might consider the overpriced Olive Garden or Carrabba's instead. The appetizers and desserts here are also fairly priced. We would definitely be happy to return with our entire family!
I ate there this past weekend and I found the place very nice. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive, making sure we were satisfied with everything. The food was flavorful. In fact when the food was served, the conversation at our table ceased to exist, except for the occasional, Mmmm... this is very good. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the place. In fact, one of my fellow diners is considering having his 50th birthday party there.
97, including a $12 gratuity, for 2 seafood lasagnas, 2 margaritas, 2 salads, and 2 iced teas. The margaritas were over-priced and not very good. The seafood lasagna was OK as was the salad. There was no atmosphere to speak of but, to be fair, it was 4:30PM and not very many diners were there yet. However, imho, this is NOT a true Italian restaurant. We could have gone to the Olive Garden for a more satisfying meal with drinks for about half as much. We've made our one trip to Fratello's and it's our last. We work too hard for our money to spend it for average food at a place that is way over-hyped.
