John Finn, now I'm at 3 of their locations and now I'm in Staten Island. Today's meal consisted of a cold antipasto for 2, Pepperoni, Mozzarella Pinwheel, Broccoli Rabe, roasted pepper and Mozzarella Pinwheel before pizza. The selected pizzas were Margherita and Clam!!! Both cakes were asked crispy. They were also very tasty and delicious as we are the appetizers. From these three locations both Ocean County restaurants run around Aberdeen, Monmouth County. As you can see, 2 boxes of pizza transitions are enjoyed in the next days.
Great, food-friendly service. The Calamari is for tasty to die. The pizza was delicious, and the eggplant Panini is huge. For dessert you cannot go wrong with the cheese cake or the Pistachio Tartufo.
We've visited Denino's several times and have consistently been very pleased, from the appetizers to the desserts. The service is comfortable, friendly, and attentive, and the food is good at reasonable prices, plus it's BYOB. While there can be a long wait on summer weekends, we usually find immediate seating during the off-season. However, three minor issues led to a 4-star rating instead of a 5: they don't provide sturdy steak knives (I prefer to eat my pizza with a knife and fork), the generous portion of calamari comes with a surprisingly small cup of sauce, and the large salads could benefit from a bigger bowl. Overall, though, it’s a really enjoyable meal.
During our recent vacation, we made a stop at Denino's in Manahawkin. Despite it being a Wednesday at 6:30, the restaurant was packed! We began with the mozzarella sticks, which were wonderfully creamy and didn't harden as they cooled—something I really appreciate since that's often an issue elsewhere. I ordered the Margherita pizza while my companion went for the 'garbage' pizza (he couldn't resist trying it). Both pizzas were fantastic! The crust was just right!
The pizza is truly authentic and has that classic New York style. It would be absolutely perfect if it weren't for an odd chemical or tap water aftertaste. I've noticed that other reviews mention this same issue, and I can definitely confirm it. The crust, sauce, and cheese are fantastic—this would be the best pizza ever if it weren't for that lingering taste. I don’t usually write reviews on Google, but I really want to figure out what that flavor is all about. The owner or manager should try a plain pie to experience what we’re talking about, as the pizza is otherwise amazing.
