La Original Taqueria - Managua

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant in Nicaragua. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was beautiful. The food was absolutely incredible, especially the black coffee. The prices were reasonable for such high quality dishes. When I visited for lunch, I noticed that the crowd mainly consisted of businessmen and women on their break, as well as families.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Managua. I love the atmosphere and convenient location. The service is great, the beer is cold, and the tacos (especially the Arabres special) are amazing. I absolutely love it.

Pleasant atmosphere, open air eating area, good service, but the Mexican food served there is just acceptable, not real Mexican food. I would recommend it as a break from your pandemic confinement.

The food is pretty great; authentic Mexican food is difficult to come by in Nicaragua, and this is as close as it gets with most of the dishes it offers (you can ask for the bafflingly-present cheese on the side). The service is too dependent on who you get as a server, however. Make sure you try to get a server that gets the job done by your second visit; don't be shy to ask for the one you prefer first. If the stars align, then you're almost guaranteed a great time and a great meal.
