Food Cache Cafe - Mammoth Mountain

This is a small place that caters to those who like healthy organic food. We had a smoothie, coffee, turkey burger, and ginger bowl. All was good. It’s a plain place in a shopping center. Not much of an atmosphere.

Tasty Ramen and Black Bean Avocado Wrap. It was hard to decide because all options seemed delicious. Cozy, organic, relaxed place. If you go at sunset make sure you seat outside and watch the Sierra mountains. The service was sweet, too! Not super cheap, but here in Mammoth the prices are very high and this was the best food in our weekend here!!!

This place has a good rating and a really nice website so my boyfriend and I decided to try it out while visiting Mammoth. We ordered the Ginger Bowl, Quinoa Avocado Wrap, and two of the berry smoothies. The menu boards were neat but I noticed they didn’t have all the items I saw on the website. A few more items had been added sloppily on a little white board on the counter. The smoothies were tasty. There were bits of chicken in the bottom of my quinoa wrap which is advertised as a vegan/vegetarian option. I told the cashier and she was nice and offered to remake the wrap. I said no it’s fine I just wanted to bring it to her attention in hopes it doesnt happen to customers in the future. I’m Vegan but I didn’t want to make a scene or anything. I had hoped she would then talk to a manager or one of the cooks in the back but she just continued her work upfront. I gave the chicken to my boyfriend and threw the rest of the wrap away. My boyfriend used the homemade chipotle sauce and said it was uncomfortably spicy and her loves spicy food. I noticed that some of the employees were in “uniform” (hat and logo shirt) and some were not. I didn’t notice any hair nets or gloves being used. I feel like if you’re offering meat and vegetarian options then gloves should always be used. I’m from SD Where the veg spots are top notch I guess Food Cache just didn’t compare.

Great local place. I had the ramen. It was very good. They add a little spice and have home made chili sauce to adjust to the right kick. Place is also dog friendly. We tied them up while ordering and they were with us out front when we ate. Their flavored water was very good. Great place to sit back and enjoy the food. Also, my wife Sade the veggie burger was very good.

Had quinoa black bean avocado wrap: $12. No flavor, had to add hot sauce. It was healthy and filling but not tasty
