The Public House - MAMMOTH LAKES

Possibly some of the worst service I've ever encountered. I ordered a pretzel (using the free check-in reward), margherita pizza, and naan shrimp tacos. I sat at one of the tables instead of the bar so I had to order at the bar on my own, which is fine, but I was standing at the bar waiting to order for 10 minutes before the bartender came over to take my order. He was super rude, made no eye contact, didn't say anything, just overall not friendly whatsoever. The pizza and pretzel came out within a reasonable time, but when nearly an hour had passed and the tacos hadn't come yet, I felt pressed to go and ask what was going on. So I went back to the bar and stood there another another 5 minutes before someone came to ask what I needed. I said I'd been waiting almost an hour for my shrimp tacos, and that's when the worker told me they were out of shrimp. They couldn't have told me that when I ordered??? I already tried ordering chicken wings and nachos, and those were out too. They couldn't have told me the same thing with shrimp?? Or anytime within the last hour I was just sitting there waiting??? So they changed the order to pulled pork tacos and handed me a $1 bill to refund me the extra cost of shrimp. The tacos came and they weren't even good. Almost no meat, and overly stuffed with cabbage. Upon closing my tab they STILL charged me for the pretzel even though they acknowledged it was free from Yelp check-in. Had to tell them to take it off. Terrible service, below average food.

Lots of beers on tap and great service behind the bar. Interesting menu that fits anyone's diet. Kid friendly.

Sooo many kinds of beers to choose! All are amazing. Food is BOMB. Highly recommend the wings hangover pizza!

I ordered the Naan Shrimp Tacos paired with a cider, and they were absolutely delicious! I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere since it wasn't crowded at all.

Completely unacceptable—avoid this place at all costs! During a family vacation in Mammoth, we decided to check out this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, hoping to enjoy some good beers. However, the experience took a dreadful turn when a male staff member (not sure of his name) made a highly inappropriate sexual remark to a young family member, asking her to bend over and what she had to offer. This kind of behavior is entirely unacceptable and disgusting, especially coming from someone in a position of authority. We were left in shock and immediately left the establishment. They should be grateful we haven't pursued legal action. The very least they can do is fire this repulsive individual. I urge everyone to steer clear of this place to avoid a similar experience. No business should tolerate such behavior from its staff. Absolutely unbelievable! Public House, you need to do better!
