Contribuiți la feedbackFood and service outstanding Great mix of lunch brunch and specials for the panto pre show Good offer of children’s menu which had a £2 discount offer with adult food Nice Xmas themed drinks Turkey pie and mash with red cabbage was excellent value and very tasty Scene burger was stacked with flavour Nice pigs in blankets with gravy starter Deserts and cheese board were all great flavours and nice value touches Sweet shop was well stocked and reasonable prices from a venue for once Highly recommended
Disappointing overall but prices are very reasonable for some items. It would help if there was a sign on arriving saying that it is counter service. We stood to the side for a while expecting to be seated as in the previous cafe. Nice and airy room but rather lacking in atmosphere. They have tried to brighten it up with rather revolting garish artificial flowers on the table which I moved off. Tasty carrot soup but one of us had to ask for it to be reheated. Sausage in a roll very enjoyable. Houlloumi salad was meant to be with lettuce and tomato. No tomato on roll, had to be asked for and presented chopped into pieces in a small bowl, better presentation would have helped. Also the lettuce was disgusting, a thick piece of the outer leaf of the vegetable, very off putting. Overall I am not sure if I would visit again except for just tea/coffee as the cakes looked good and good value. How can such an establishment which is newly opened with a lot of money be this disappointing. The staff could also have been a little more welcoming although the lady with the longer hair in plaits was very pleasant. Come on Malvern, don't let us down. Such a well known and well visited theatre with a lot of money recently put into it, why hasn't a little more been spent on this area. I am disappointed in myself having to write these comments.
Food and service outstanding Great mix of lunch brunch and show dining Choice for all tastes and budgets Sausage and mash diner was best sausages I have ever had Turned out to be from local butcher!!
During my visit to Malvern, I decided to have lunch at The Scene. I ordered a vegan falafel salad, but my meal was disrupted when I found a caterpillar crawling out from the lettuce. Despite my discomfort, I tried to discreetly return the salad to the counter, where the waiter apologized. I declined the offer for another salad as I was feeling unwell. I was not offered a refund, which I found disappointing. Additionally, I was told that the lettuce leaves were not washed before serving, which is concerning for food safety. I tried to contact the restaurant through their Theatre page, but have not received a response in over a week. This experience left me feeling upset and eager to leave the establishment.
There was a small but locally sourced 3 course menu for only £32 plus a nice selection of wines Excellent quality and value Staff friendly and efficient and plenty of time to eat pre show Need to pre book Went back the following morning for a great coffee and breakfast roll
