Smashburger - Malvern

It was closed for training, but there was a notice on their website on the day of our visit.

The burger was excessively salty, and I found it hard to justify the $3.49 price tag for just 20 thin French fries. In fact, the ketchup packet was larger than the portion of fries I received. Thank goodness for Five Guys – I'll definitely be steering clear of Smashburger in the future. On top of that, the cashier wasn't wearing his mask properly; it wasn't covering his mouth or nose.

I had the bacon brisket burger, and it was fantastic. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

Service was horrible. Felt like we were inconveniencing her and stopping her from talking to guys in the kitchen. Also my burger came out wrong (bacon smash with only mustard, cheese and lettuce) instead I got a burger that had no bacon, onions, pickles, ketchup, mayo and lettuce. Again felt like it was a major bother to have her correct the order. Won’t ever be back!

Please bring back the fried pickles! I miss them so much! I often feel uncertain about what I’ll be getting at Smashburger, which is a key aspect of a fast food experience. The staff turnover is high, leading to continuous training, and they often have questions because of the customization options available. The digital menu screens are not very user-friendly and don’t display all the choices. However, they consistently deliver great taste and service, which is a big plus, so I still recommend it! The burgers are a good size and juicy, and the new chicken, fish, and brisket options provide delicious variety that’s memorable and flavorful. Their milkshakes are also well above average. If they could tidy up the bathrooms, retain some staff, and address a few issues, this place would be incredible. As it stands, it’s become a regular stop for me!
