Contribuiți la feedbackThis was the best prepared meals I have ever had. I have lived in San Francisco and Los Angeles and tried many there, but The Foodery in my current location surpasses them all. It is with great sorrow and disappointment that I learned they had to close down during the covid-19 crisis. I truly believed that their business model would thrive during these difficult times. I hope they are able to reopen after this is all over.
The Foodery is a unique meal service that excels in both offering a diverse selection of delicious and expertly prepared dishes, as well as providing excellent ordering and delivery options. When you place an order, they provide you with a 3-hour delivery window, which is later narrowed down to about an hour a few days before the scheduled date. I have tried several other services in the past that did not compare, so I am extremely satisfied with The Foodery. It is definitely worth the price.
I've been using this service for a few weeks now and really like it! The food is great, delivery is on time. I would never have time to make food like this for myself. The reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is there seems to be no way to get in touch with the business. Recently I tried calling about a scheduling issue and called at least 5 times and nobody ever picked up the phone during business hours. I also emailed and never received a response. I'm currently having an issue with the website and tried calling again to place my order but still no one is answering. I don't like that I can't get in touch with anyone! Would love to give this business 5 stars but that's my only issue.
We are from out of town and ordered a gift certificate for a friend who has become primary caregiver of her husband. She has tried to order something and to no avail has it worked. We sent her the entire gift certificate with our order number and their 12 digit code. Nothing is working. She has emailed and called Foodery as have we. No one has attempted to make contact with us. Right now I feel like we just threw away .
It 's almost laughable how much this company doesn 't care about customers. I advise anybody thinking of doing business with them to steer well clear. Our experience: We spent nearly $100 ordering food from Foodery, to be delivered on Mother 's Day, and didn 't receive anything. The delivery driver didn 't bother ringing the doorbell when he arrived; the only thing he did to indicate his presence was to call my cell from an unknown nunber and then hang up without saying anything. When we saw the message that the package had been delivered we went to our doorstep to find... nothing. Of course we contacted Foodery they were initially apologetic and promised to make it right, but this was apparently countermanded the next day by their CEO John Bauer. John sent us a Google Street View photo from months ago to prove that they had delivered to our address; blamed us the whole way through with not even the slightest hint of an apology; didn 't acknowledge or even try to fix the communication lapses by his delivery service (seriously, what kind of delivery service doesn 't ring the doorbell? ; and for some reason kept on accusing us of not being home even when we repeatedly corrected him. I am not sure if his willful mischaracterization of the situation is some sort of cognitive block or just a cover your behind tactic, but it 's an indication of the type of business this company conducts. Based on my experience it seems that in order to be assured of actually getting the super expensive food you spent your money on, you 'll need to plan your entire day around their 4 hour delivery window, during which you apparently need to PHYSICALLY WAIT OUTSIDE ON THE STREET so that they don 't just sling your food in the general direction of your door without even stopping long enough to ring a simple doorbell. I mean, even Domino 's has the good grace to try calling (and not immediately hang up! before just leaving your pizza on the doorstep. Or, you know, just order from an actual restaurant... Doordash... Caviar... anything. It 'll probably be cheaper, and as an added bonus the menu won 't be Foodery 's unique blend of fair trade, gluten free judgement with a side of cultural appropriation.
