Osteria Santo Cielo - MALCESINE

We went there on recommendation and as ever with big groups our friends gradually joined us, swelling the numbers and moving chairs to suit those arriving. Despite being well behaved, we were all regularly told off and asked to move and asked how many more were coming. In the end he became so rude that we asked him if he would l rather we left , to which he replied ' ' perfect ' ' so we paid to 220 euro bill, went to a nearby bar that welcomed us with open arms and we stayed until 2am and spent another 400.. At 11 pm they had 2 customers instead of the 20 that would have been there!

Great food, great drinks, great people... no need to say more! And try the bresaola pecorino plus spritz!

I can not believe I have not reviewed this place in the 13 years I have been going to Malcesine. I think it is because I did not want it to get crowded. Hella creates such a friendly, familial atmosphere. I've been here with friends and always made new ones. I've been here alone and am never lonely. I just wish I could settle on my favorite serenity drink; cold beer, Laphroiag, Zambuca, Grappa, port. I am still searching.

Locale davvero molto caratteristico e abbiamo mangiato bene. Piatti di qualità e la signora, credo la titolare, molto gentile. La spesa per niente elevata. Si differenzia dai soliti posti per turisti. Ci torneremo!

In una malcesina spettrale (quasi chiusa), siamo capitati per caso in questa taverna con vista su un quadrato. ambiente molto ben arredato, proprio da osteria, con archi in mattoni, bottiglie di liquore, birra, vino, vari dipinti appesi sulle pareti e varie foto. ordinare formaggi di taglio misto e salumi e bruschette. tutto bene anche il fumo del caffè macchiato ordinato alla fine. raccomandato.
