Located in the heart of Anadia, in a small village, Mala Posta, you will find the the Restaurante Pompeu dos Frangos. Is a charming Restaurant full of History serving excellent regional food and the local wines of the Bairrada Region. The staff is very attentive and professional
This Restaurant is located in the old coach station in the XIX century, when a journey between Lisbon to Oporto about 320 kms) tooked 34 hours! they have the all history represented in tiles! About the food, i tasted Arroz de cabidela is chicken rice made with her own blood and Chanfana Lamb marinated in red wine and goes to the hooven), and everything was very, very good! And the prices are average, it costed about 40€ por 2 persons, wine, desserts, starters and 2 portions included. I will return for sure!
Situated in the heart of Anadia this place has a nice old world charm. They have a separate dining area for smokers. Which is great. The food is typical Portuguese. Excellent service.
Located in an old post office horse changing station, still maintains the layout of the old days. The house traditional dish is chicken piri piri with fried chips. In addiction you can treat yourself with a wonderful Arroz de miudos , the chicken´s internal organs (liver, heart, lungs and kidneys cooked in its own blood with rice or the canja de galinha , a soup made with the chicken´s internal organs, shredded chicken meat and macaroni. Very important note beware of the piri piri its almost radioactive ; The desserts are also very good specially doce da casa , made by the owner´s wife. I keep it a secret just ask for one and enjoy. The restaurant has a private parking.
