Baba Charlie Cafe - Malacca

Most of the bad reviews here are for their food, but baba Charlie is famous for their nonya kueh, and from my experience this is as good as it gets. They sell a wide variety of kueh and are very reasonably priced. Each type is sold one by one if you want to mix and match, or in packs if you want to bulk-buy your favourite. Definitely worth a visit, and I would ignore all the negative reviews if you just want to buy nonya kueh.

Baba Charlie Cafe is a great place to visit for those who love Nyonya kuih. The cafe has a wide variety of kuih available, and there is also a dine-in area. The Nyonya fried noodle and Nyonya Laksa are highly recommended, and the onen onen is an absolute must-try. Pie tee, a great snack for Nyonya crave lovers, it 's crispy outside and is mouth watering inside. The food is delicious and satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that the place can be quite crowded during peak hours. Overall, a great place to visit for some authentic Nyonya cuisine.

SO...what makes food and the people who enjoy it so great? Food is not simply stuff that people eat when they're hungry. Food is awesome, delicious, inventive, colorful, inspiring, and so much more. A mutual love of food can bring different people together and can make the saddest person feel a little better without even meaning to. I love food and think you should too.

There were seats available on Friday late morning. Great selection of nyonya kuehs. Taste wise, it's a bit on the sweet side, which may not appeal to all. I personally quite liked it, especially the cassava pastry and the ones with coconut shavings. Price is reasonable as well. Worth bringing your tourist friends over.
