This place used to be the best until new owner took over. Fresh cut fries are now frozen fries, the fish batter is too thick, if you’re going to turn this restaurant into Indian cuisine drop the fish and chips off the menu

Ocean Avenue Restaurant Delta,B.C. Decent albeit greasy piece of Cod. Modest portion for $8. 75 Pleasant service. 1 /2 oz of included tartar sauce just makes no sense and it looks cheap compared to the competition. A good deal with the mobile bandit discount of 1pc cod ,chips and a beverage. Let 's face it ,you get what u pay for.The fries were not double fried as advertised but rather bland,barely fried and no different than other fries. U should go....but use the m.b. offer otherwise I would consider it expensive. Check it out...ask for the double fried fries to be double fried though. 'appy noshin '

First time after hearing rave reviews for years. This restaurant did not disappoint. Clean .. no old oil smell and the fish was spectacular. Fresh fresh moist Halibut with a lovely light crispy batter.Chips were crisp and fresh. Its prices were competitive. Service was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely make this trip again!! Definitely the BEST fish chips I have ever had. Thanks!

Campaign for real fish and chips continues.. Now, a little background..my family and I have been coming to this place for over 20 years It has always been excellent, perhaps the best fish and chips in the lower mainland..bar none. And yes, none of that AYCE nonsense. Just traditional, solid fish and chips However, recently they changed management..and I've been back twice since the switch. Plus I moved down town, and it's quite the trek First time it was ok, but left me thinking what had happened to the quality of yesteryear Most recently, decided to give them another shot..despite the disappointment with the new management. Went on a Friday, and it was dead..should have been a sign This place used to be hopping on a Friday night..line up out the door We ordered one piece Halibut, and two piece cod..with chips and coleslaw Chips were decent, but the cod was VERY greasy..all batter..little fish. Halibut was better, but still greasy. When I was finished, you should have seen my plate..it was literally all greasy batter. Coleslaw was blah So yeah, disappointed. Not the same quality as the previous management. I won't be back. Shame
