Marmook & Poom Poom's - Maitland

We stopped here while driving through the Loire Valley touring chateaus.

This is basically a sports bar that serves Italian food Service was not good, but we did enjoy our pizza.

I came here on the advice of my Rick Steves book after seeing the chateau immediately above the restaurant.

So nice to go to a cafe where the people are friendly, approachable and real. Sense of humour and happy to chat if you are open to it(but swift and efficient too). The food was really tasty (and we know our food), it had nice coffee, and it had a nice vibe. Definitely worth a visit, local or traveller.

A very modern cuisine with high quality food, snacks and beverages.We love this place for it's excellent atmosphere. It even has a small outdoor area to catch some winter sun.Service is great even though they did forget an order for my Son. They made up for it with service and quality.
