Teak Neighborhood Grill - Maitland

Service was very slow both times I’ve been. You need to plan to be there for a few hours, if you go. Food was eh. Weird flavors in the sauces and lots of uncooked/overcooked foods. The vibe of the place is cool, but it’s not worth the price or the time. Parking: Parking is limited and small in space. You will be walking from your spot to the restaurant.

Really disappointed in our dining experience today. We all know it’s ridiculously expensive to go out to eat these days but we wanted to go somewhere after church to celebrate an occasion. Our server, Iylah, took way too long to take our order, then it took the food over 30 minutes to come out. My husbands French fries were absolutely soaked in oil and inedible. All 6 of us sat there the majority of the meal with zero water my husband had to end up going to the bar to ask for water. Then when we wanted the check she was still nowhere to be found, we eventually had to get up again and ask for the check and a few minutes later we see our server roller silverware instead of bringing our check. It’s so disappointing spending money and time somewhere that is an absolute waste. The restaurant was not busy enough for bad service and a ticket time that long. This will most likely be our last time going here.

Visited Teak on a Friday night. There were about 6 seated tables in the entire restaurant. We decided to sit on the patio, as the sun had just gone down. Server brought out water, and we ordered beers. 15 minutes go by and they waiter comes outside, looks around and goes back inside. 10 minutes later we walked out. We used to love coming here, but will not be returning.

I have been to this location at least a dozen times.(Maitland) I look forward to a meal here but the experience last night was different. It was collossaly disappointing. The service was excellent by the way. Not knocking that. We were a party of 5. Ordered 2 appetizers which were very good. One problem with one of the appetizers. We ordered seafood and spinach dip which was excellent. And loaded pierogis. I have had these many times. They should have some spice to them, this time they were bland, but still good. The meals were the issue. I ordered the Kobe burger, medium with onion rings. Kobe or Wagyu beef is always very tender due to the marbling. Kobe/Wagyu beef should always be juicy and delicious, not tough. This burger was tough and seemed way overcooked, and there were no mushrooms on the burger. I asked to hold the onions not the mushrooms. The onion rings were overcooked as well. My wife ordered Mike Bison. Her burger was visibly much larger than mine but was missing the mushrooms as well. She did enjoy her burger. My younger son ordered the killer bee chicken sandwich. Absolutely overcooked and no spice like it should have been. he said that chicken was so tough he could barely get it down. My older son ordered Blackened Mahi tacos that were not blackened at all and bland. Daughter in law ordered the fire grilled chicken which also way overcooked and tough with onion rings as well. Her burger was OK, but she ate one onion ring and left the rest because they were overcooked. I have never had a bad meal here in all the times I 've dined here until now. I can understand having an Off night in the kitchen, but messing up every meal is not acceptable. Paying over $16 for the 2 burgers and them being almost unpalatable is no good. The restaurant wasn 't even that busy. Maybe half filled. This experience may make me re-evaluate coming to this location ever again. I may have to switch to the Orlando location.

If you are looking for an amazing brunch spot, hit TEAK!! Food was fantastic and the bottomless mimosas came in so many yummy flavors! The best part of the experience was our server Mickaella. She is so welcoming, knowledgeable and made us feel like a million bucks! She is such an authentic and sweet lady!! Thank you for the fine service and wonderful experience!!
