Brickoven - Mailand

Thin and crisp pizza, not the usual Neapolitan pizza: question of tastes. At noon working menu at 10 Euro with well prepared dishes.

Tryed on lunch break. The place is quiet, indeed, it is practically deserted until at least 13:15, then it populates, but never be crowded. For me the interior is a little too dark, so I always choose a place near the window. The staff is medium friendly. At lunch with 10 euros you can choose between a first, or a second, or a pizza, always with water and coffee included. I tried a little bit, but I think the best choice is pizza, while the rest is quite ordinary. The pizza is excellent and spectacularly served on a long cutter. Subtle and conditated at the right point, it is also light and always well cooked. There are many types, even gluten-free. Accept all major tickets.

I have always been a fan of brickoven, of its very thin pizza presented on a wooden cutter, of its interior a little kitsch but intimate thanks to the soft lights, of its beautiful wood oven at the bottom of the room... Yes, I really like this place in via Marsala (the others belonging to the same chain instead less, much less and I recommend it if you want a nice pizza without yeast (also pizzas for celiacs or a nice hamburger. Unfortunately they do not accept reservations, so the advice is to go there early, around 20:00. After it is more difficult to find place, and also the kitchen goes a little in tilt resulting quite slow. The pizza is however very good, crisp and light, to the Roman with very low edge, in many variations also quite original. My favorites are those with buffalo mozzarella (Roman or spring). Good desserts, including tiramisu. You do not spend little (the pizza with buffalo is on 10€ but the goodness and the atmosphere make it advisable also for a 'exit to two. I have seen many vip dine here (including Matarazzi, in fact on the wall there is a wall of signatures where so many players (especially interists and some beautiful showwomen wanted to leave their signature. I've been seeing her for many years and she's never disappointed me.

Unfriendly personal and full house. You have to wait a lot of time. And even if you wait there is no guarantee that you get a place!!!! So i would not recommend it ! But the pizza looks great!
