The Romney - Maidstone

Food quite good, my calves liver had lots of inedible bits in it, my dining companion had the trout and was happy with it Wasn’t keen on the ambiance, some residents on the table nearby were loud but one sadly had dementia so unavoidable Service was good, pleasant waiting staff

I reserved today for lunch at 12.30 PM. When I arrived, I was informed that the kitchen was closed, only sandwiches were available. And they did not have our reservation. I am sorry but they have to check what they propose on Opentable. Besides, they are in a completely lost spot, what a waste of time to get there!

I cannot praise this place highly enough. It is a little hidden gem in the park. The service and food were outstanding and extremely reasonably priced. Cooked to perfection with lovely, fresh ingredients. Our waitress, Storm, was just wonderful. We had a lovely view of the terrace. I will definitely be going back. I said at the time I'm torn between recommending it constantly, and keeping quiet so that it remains just as is it!
