The Chequers Fish - Maidstone

I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious fish and chips, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. The price per person is between £10-£20 for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 5 out of 5.

Started using them in 2019 when we moved to Lenham and they were delicious. Everytime I've gone in the last year it's just got worse and worse in my personal opinion. I know things are costing more but when you pay £10 for a meal you expect it to actually fill you up. The sizes have shrunk considerably. At one point I had to go back as was given less than a handful of chips when I'd purchased a medium. A large Donna kebab with less meat than the last small I bought. I keep giving them a chance but I think I will just leave it now. Just a shame there are no other options locally.
