It is located behind a lovely arched arcade and features a great selection of wines from a used wineshop and a patisserie that we have yet to try. We savored the beef bourguignon, which was incredibly tender. The staff kindly let us share a dessert since I am watching my dessert intake, and we indulged in a delicious prune tart. The wine selection, including wines by the glass, is very good and reasonably priced.
We came for a meal with a visiting family freind, we found the same great service and amazing quality of food as always. Easily one of the best places in Maidstone Town centre to eat. Amazing, Fresh french cuisine and freindly staff.
Been going to Fredericks for some year's now. Unfortunately our last visit wasn't great. My wife's food wasn't great, and £26 for a small piece of steak and some fries is a rip off. Seems that standard's have dropped considerably...
I was really impressed with this restaurant - the staff were excellent and the atmosphere was top-notch. The Manager was very attentive and seemed like he had experience from a high-end establishment like The Savoy or The Ritz. The menu was fantastic and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be returning in the future.
The French Bistro-style wine shop was bustling with a Christmas lunch crowd. The baked Camembert was decent but the bread was bland. The fish dish had a small portion size with a small fillet, half a courgette, a bit of pea mush, and a pool of red sauce, leaving it unexciting. The turkey main course was more filling, but the roast potatoes were tough. The cheeseboard was large, but the cheese needed more time out of the fridge to develop flavor. The roulade was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, I usually enjoy dining at Frederic, but this time I left feeling underwhelmed. It seems that the mass-market Christmas catering compromised the quality, resulting in a difference between okay and good.
