Big Ben's Fish Grill - Maidstone

I was not very impressed with my experience at the restaurant. I ordered a peri chicken fillet wrap supreme, but was disappointed to find that the chicken was actually thigh meat instead of fillet. I felt that the description of the product was misleading, as I would not have ordered it had I known it was thigh meat. Additionally, there were lots of fatty bits within the wrap.

The staff was friendly and efficient when taking our large order for the Scout camp. The portions were satisfying and the food was delicious.

I bought fish and chips from this restaurant in the early evening. Since I live only 2 minutes away from the shop, I was home quickly and ate right away. Unfortunately, all of the food was almost cold when I arrived home, and some of the fish and chips were hard, as if they had been cooked and left for a while. I was very disappointed with my experience.

Driven past this place over 100 times whilst on my way to my girlfriends flat. Always thought it looked good from the outside and was always tempted to go in. Last night i gave in to temptation and i 'm glad i was not disappointed. My girlfriend comes from Mexico and had made up her mind that she didn 't like fish and chips after a few bad experiences before at other places. With help from The gentlemen that served us, i convinced her to try my fish. The batter was perfect the fish was nice and fresh and my girlfriends opinion has now been converted. Of course nobody 's perfect and so i will say i thought the cod was a little small for a large and i wasn 't particularly a fan of their tartare sauce but that was due to personal preference. Pies were good, saveloys were good, fish was good and the chips were good. Will be going again as it certainly satisfied my craving. I also couldn 't fault the fast friendly service. Great job guys!

Cold food despite waiting for the order to be put together and the smallest cod I have ever seen. I called up as soon as I got home but just got an argumentative person on the end of the phone.
