Jones Fish Camp - Maiden

My review of Jones Fish Camp in Maiden, NC is not a positive one. Recently, my wife and her friend dined there on a Saturday night and enjoyed their meals. When I asked my wife to bring me a small fried oyster platter to save on costs, I was shocked at the price she paid upon returning home. While I expected to pay $11.95, the total came to $18.87, raising questions about hidden charges. Upon further investigation, I discovered discrepancies in pricing that did not match the portion size I received. Additionally, I was disappointed to learn about the restaurant's health inspection scores, which fell below the expected range for cleanliness and food safety. With scores of 92% and 90.5% on recent inspections, I would not feel comfortable dining at Jones Fish Camp in the future. It is important for consumers to be aware of such information and prioritize their health when choosing where to eat.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I waited 54 minutes for my food to arrive at the table, and when it finally did, it was disappointingly cold. The waitress took the food back to the kitchen, presumably to heat it up in the microwave, but even then the corn on the cob would not melt the butter.

Even if they were just reopened and got a new owner. I still leave it a star because I had found glass or plastic in my burger from the past experience and I had never had any problems with this place until this day. if it goes well again, I will be ready to change my review, but now I will leave it like that.
