We then had walk on beach which is just about 50 metres from the café and returned for a great tasting meat pie for lunch. Very laid back and friendly and certainly used by the locals
Worth the walk from Bonnievale campground to the beach cafe. Take the bush walk over and the water walk back. Coffee was great.
The perfect spot to stop for a cool down after a morning down on the beach, this cute cafe-come-convenience store is also ideal for picking up essentials (particularly that extremely essential morning cup of coffee) while camping at the nearby Bonnie Vale Campground. Quick and friendly service and a charming local atmosphere are both things you will find upon your next visit to Maianbar Beach Cafe.
Fantastic place to stop for an afternoon tea break. The lady was only too happy to help us out as much as possible. Also had a grocery store/general goods store attached. Can't wait to be back.
This reminds me of the old corner store inside although it looks like the downstairs area of a large house outside. Wish we had lunch here instead of in Bundeena. The lady who served us had just the right style; some friendly banter so that you felt like a local mixed with friendly service. Prices were more expensive than Bundeena but the experience was so much more too.We parked in a little carpark close by and walked down to the water where there is a little park and we spotted a kookaburra on a post.Felt like a very relaxing place. A little further up the hill is a B and B. Might have to check it out too.
