Prime 957 Steakhouse - Mahopac

We went on a Thu night at 7 for a birthday dinner. They were prepared for my long list of allergies and happily accommodated. The tomahawk steak special for 2 was amazing. I had two more dinners as leftovers! Service was spot on, drinks were great and the whole experience was as it should be for a nice occasion. Can’t wait to return.

Excellent food, service and value. The grilled oysters melt in your mouth. Steaks cooked to perfection. Highly recommend! Will definitely return!

It was a wonderful birthday experience! The food was fabulous and the waitstaff were a wonderful addition to our dining experience.

Finally an actual great local restaurant. Food was phenomenal. Service was top notch, and what made things even better was knowing the owner is originally from the Bronx just like us. Too bad it took us this long to even know this place was open. So many steps up from the previous spot that was located here and doesn’t even compare to the Sizzler on the other side of town. We started with a couple of their specialty cocktails, yea you have to try the Rosemary one and the Soul one. They said all American here and were surprised to see the Tagliatelle special. Let me tell you that dish was one of the best I’ve ever had and they aren’t even trying to be Italian. We also had the Crab cakes, Gator, Chicken fried Steak, and the Cowgirl. Everything was cooked perfectly. Even the mashed potatoes and broccoli were amazing. Bottle of OVR with dinner and after didn't have room for dessert but we enjoyed a bourbon cream, hot buttered rum and a ridiculous chocolate martini and after the owner gave us a taste of his homemade eggnog. It was RIDICULOUS!! We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to all our friends and family. Worth every single penny!!
