Only came across this bar when searching for somewhere to watch the Newcastle/Liverpool match on sky.Its got couple tables outside on the front pavement decking but fairly small inside with a tavern pub wooden beams style decor even a dart board at the back.i received very pleasant bar service from Sam with drinks very reasonably priced.With only one TV at the front of the bar showing the game(another smaller tv to the rear wasnt on)it was bit cosy trying to get a decent view amongst already present geordies.This bar looks to be frequented by the English with only one ex pat being gobby spoiling the atmosphere with his loud bad language antics during the game,must be a frequent shandy drinking regular as this wasn't clamped down on by Sam .Anyway thanks to Darwin Nunez his 2 late goals in a 2-1 Liverpool win,all was good with a very quiet finish .This 1st time experience wouldnt put me off returning back again i would recommend you do try a visit here maybe when the footy isn't on . The waitresses are very smiling and the cocktails a delight.

We went there as this was my late brother's hangout. He used to play cribbage at the bar. Our friend Steve is no longer the host unfortunately. Tuesday evenings are apparently not the night to go deader than a door nail, tho' the barman was friendly.
