Taqueria Chiwas - Magnolia

The tacos here are excellent, and the tortillas have a wonderful texture. Instead of the typical orange cheddar, they use Oaxacan cheese, which is a delightful change. The refried beans are particularly tasty as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite pleasant, and it has a nice breeze. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

I don't usually give out 5-star ratings, but this place definitely deserves it. They serve some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had, alongside the usual taqueria options. The menu is impressive, featuring many delicious dishes (platillos). They usually have a great selection of aguas frescas as well. Their tamales are the best I've encountered. Having lived in West Texas and traveled deep into Mexico, this is the food that brings back memories. It's the real deal. Just make sure not to come here and order a quesadilla (though I’m sure it would be good)!

One of the best places for miles around! The service is outstanding, and everything is delicious and well-seasoned—you can really taste the care that goes into the food. Be sure to try the chicharrón and pastor tacos! The strawberry lemonade is also a perfect refreshment for the Texas heat! Food: 5/5

I ordered the barbacoa tacos along with a Pepsi, and I have to say, that's the perfect combination.

I travel from Oklahoma City to Austin, Houston, and East Texas, and I have to say that the best barbacoa tacos are right here. I make it a point to eat here every time I'm in the area, which is about twice a month, and honestly, that still feels like too little!
