Tanner's Inn & Dining - Magnetawan

I have always enjoyed a meal at Tanner's. The breakfasts are excellent and dinner, whether a menu choice or the special are always delicious. The indian inspired entrees are a favourite of mine. The pub is small and intimate. Great atmosphere!

Fantastic cooking and atmosphere. My family and I have a cottage in the area and have enjoyed many fabulous meals and continue to look forward to many more. thanks for the full bellies and the memories. Fast food is quick.. Good food takes time!!! And worth the wait! Cheers.

We went for a family dinner. The other guests with us had been before and raved how great the food was .The appetizers were delicious, as was the special Grilled fish with creamy lime sauce. The twice baked potato was very dry and a very small portion. One guest had the 10 Oz steak . It was supposed to be cooked medium . It was over cooked. It was also very fatty and grizzly. We were all quite surprised at the lack of quality it had for the price. We also ordered two desserts...the cheesecake was delicious, the brownie was hard and dry . I don't know if it was an off night as others have given such great reviews. I possibly would try again and hope for a more palatable meal

Best meal I've had in the area. Salad was better than at the Keg. Sunday night Roast Beef special. Meat was beautiful and 2 scoops of homemade mashed potatoes. Can't wait to go back. Just to compare other restaurants in the area: The Grill is a great sandwich and burger and breakfast restaurant. But for a special dinner, Tanners is the better option. And the Swiss house is good but such a long wait.

We were spending only one night in Magnetawan, so choosing a place for dinner was important to us. Looking at Trip advisor this place became an easy choice. We were not disappointed. It reminds you of an English pub with the decorations & bar. We started with the onion & ale soup, which was steaming hot with a lot of cheese & onions. I had the Shepherd's pie which was served piping hot. My wife ordered the Scollops which were very good, The prices are reasonable & the service is excellent. Make reservations as the place fills up quickly. Watch for the entrance is easy to miss.
