Great seafood in Lisbon that Our family have ever tried! Highly recommend.
This place was recommended to me by a Portuguese friend who said that if you love sea food then this is the best place in the world to be. Expectations were high then but I wasn’t disappointed. The portions were generous, everything was fresh and delicious and the service was good too. I personally loved it. Oh, and did I mention that everything is moderately priced?
To start we had Sopa do mar , a tomato based soup with a lot of shellfish an seafood. The soup was good but a bit salted for my taste. Then we ordered boiled crab (sapateira recheada) witch was low on salt and the filling had a lot of mayo and mustard and very few crab eggs. The fried shrimps (gambas fritas) were OK but din´t have that wow factor that make us do a 120 km trip for them (from Lisbon to Ericeira and back). The best was the dessert mousse de chocolate that was excellent. It´s sad that in a marisqueira (sea food restaurante) the best of a meal is the dessert. The staff is very friendly and polite. The restaurant has a huge car park. We were a group of 5.
Really good food. All fresh and delicious. Multiple options in seafood. Their special dish 'mariscada ' it is very good, grilled fish as well.
