I never ate here, but they play live music at night. I just rented a bike for 200bath 24h. All right, easy to go, and in the end they took me to the bus station. Very friendly. They also offer 1 or 2 days trekkings.

We went with our Guide La on a 2 day hike and had a great experience. He matched the tour exactly to our wishes and invested a lot in cooking Hinself great food. The Homestay was very simple, do not expect more than one roof over your head (this is not 100% resistant to rain). But the host (2 older people) was very friendly and the stay was cool during our trip. The only one was, and therefore this is not a 5-star rating: He messed up the sunrise hike. We started too late and he was not really familiar with the hill we climbed. So we ended up in a not perfect place and discovered on the way down that it was one, though. But we enjoyed the early morning anyway and it did not spoil the whole trip.

Sunflower Restaurant. Thai and Western food. Cheap and not bad. Live music.

Bad food. The guy in charge really can’t be bothered to make an effort with the food despite the fact that we were his only customers. I didn’t finish mine. It’s also more expensive than the much better restaurant down the road along the lake. We also went to pay with a 1000b note, as we had no other change. The guy didn’t have any charge either. Rather than asking around the other shops (like a decent member of staff would do), he told us to buy some water from a local stall and get change. We refused as we’d already had a bad lunch, had plenty of water and didn’t want to have to spend more money unnecessarily. After a few minutes of arguing he finally did his job and found us some change. It might look like a nice place but don’t get sucked into this tourist trap!

I never leave bad reviews for restaurants. But this place was actually the worst. A few leafs of ice berg lettuce and onions served with choice of oil, or mayo. For 70 baht. Because apparently they don't know what papaya salad is.
