The Ole Smokehouse - Madrid

I've visited this restaurant before without any issues, but I have to say that my experience the other night was awful. We ordered a range of dishes, and everything was disappointing, even the cookies, which were served cold. The steak was tough, the catfish was unappetizing, and the mac and cheese was a mushy mess. We paid $3.50 for a tiny bowl of beans drenched in BBQ sauce. If the folks in the North Country think this is good BBQ, then they haven't truly experienced real BBQ! I find the prices to be high, and the quality of the food has really declined from what it used to be. Very disappointing!

If the Northern region thinks this is good BBQ, then they haven't really experienced proper BBQ! I believe the prices are too high, and the quality of the food has definitely declined. Very disappointing!

I recently visited the Ol Smokehouse for the first time. The restaurant features a rustic Western-style decor, both inside and out. The menu is straightforward, so you won't need to spend a lot of time choosing what to order...

The food is excellent, and the bartenders are fantastic. It's a wonderful spot for smoked meats and chicken. The bar seating is enjoyable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The appetizers were decent. My friends ordered the brisket, but unfortunately, it was dry, just like the chicken. On a positive note, the catfish was tasty. They also offer complimentary cornbread, which was nice.
