Taberna Toma Jamon - Madrid

My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around this part of the city when we decided to drop into Toma Jamon ,been here before on previous holidays to Madrid, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this tavern, interior is superb, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main, great decor and furnishings, hanging hams and lots of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Plaza De Pedro Zarolo. We sat outside were we ordered bottles of Mahou red beer ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and accompanied with a bowl of crisps, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the sun while we sipped our beers. A big fan of this famous beer brewed locally in Madrid, its a light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink, when served freezing cold as in this tavern its such a delicious beer indeed, it was just so good being in such a lovely tavern enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother Stephen, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Tomas Jamon is easy to locate on Plaza De Pedro Zarolo. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 10am till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

This place is horrible. The worst quality and incredibly bad customer service. The ham croquettes had NO ham just a creamy mess. When I asked if these were actually the ham ones, I was surrounded by managers who insisted there was ham in there although no one could actually see any. An embarrassing fuss because this tourist trap will never remove food from the bill. Avoid at all costs.
