Contribuiți la feedbackWe have gone twice in a week to this non pretentious restaurant. Food is excellent, one of the best fabadas in Madrid, fantastic meats, desserts, etc.. Two waiters provide a personalized and excellent service. They will adjust to your wishes. It is a must with reasonable prices.
We had an outstanding family celebration since a long time, several birthday celebrations, and decided to come back here, the choice would have not been better. Because of the group, we were eleven people, some of us arrived a bit late, and some were required to attend some professional tasks while having the lunch, and back to finish. The staff, waited for us to end our lunch at about 18:00, no ugly faces at all, but the opposite. It is a charm spot. The food needs no comment, just visit and enjoy, not only the food but the kind staff too.
It is a long time since we wanted to visit this spot, but it is that kind of things you only remember when you pass it by. Well, finally the other day we decided to visit it. It was a great surprise as we would have not imagine how the restaurant was. We knew it was an Asturias style, and beforehand, it should be a guarantee. Well, as someone has written, really accurate, it is not a hipster spot, on the contrary this is a traditional restaurant, with white and red squares tablecloths and traditional and professional staff. No tattoos, no stylish heads, and just with the right speech. It is just a kind of bistro but with traditional Asturian recipes. Furthermore, if you are visiting El Retiro and surroundings it a good option to make a pit stop, and if you are traveling with kids, that is perfect. Of course you have a menu to choose from, and remember I do not suggest any, but the arroz con leche at the end. To drink you have a traditional list of wines, of course do not search for Petrus, but I would suggest cider, traditional Asturias beverage and perfect to pair with the dishes you will probably eat. Why this review title? Two main reasons, As I have commented you better drink cider, thus when you are pouring the cider with the device, it reminds the drizzle and last, but not least, Orbayo or Orbayu (in Bable, Asturias language) means more or less drizzle.
Restaurante Asturiano tradicional, sidra natural, carne de buena calidad, y los postres muy buenos, nos decepciono un poco la merluza a la sidra, no nos gusto como estaba preparada y la salsa tenia un poco de aceite. Pero en general la comida muy rica y casera.
Hemos vuelto. Se come bien. La gente es amable y atenta. Además está cerca del Retiro
