The service was excellent and the sandwich was the best I've had in a long time! The tomato basil soup was outstanding. The variety of baked goods was very tempting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would not hesitate to come back again.

Burnsides is known for its Kentucky style chicken and amazing wedge fries but they have so much more. Friendly comfortable restaurant, great gift/Christmas shop on the side. Licenced dining!

Your question about if it's an American Restaurant ? How can it be American it's in Canada!! Took the grand kids to Burnside to keep them away from Tim's and McDonalds, a perfect selection. Very welcoming, allowed us to sit where we wanted, made the children feel very welcomed. Food was quick and hit the spot. The children had the chicken strips with onion rings, shared an adult serving offered the extra plate without hesitation. Their food disappeared before us adults had finished. My hubby had the Club House Sandwich with great potato wedges and I had the yummy Chicken Caesar Salad (small). The lunch hit the spot and was very good. We hung around for their Mother join us, she enjoyed the Chicken Sandwich. We were there long enough for the meal to settle and enjoy the Kawartha Ice Cream. A great way to finish the meal and the portions of ice cream were very generous. We look forward to returning often to the Burnside Casual Dining on our way to and from Ottawa.

We were looking for a place to eat while passing through and feeling hungry. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of options, making it difficult to decide what to order. There was something for everyone! I ended up trying a burger, even though I don't typically eat them. To my surprise, the burger was made with fresh, high-quality meat and not greasy at all. It was delicious, especially when paired with the usual burger toppings.
