Skooters Grill Yogurt - Madisonville

My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant, formerly known as Badeaux's. I ordered the sample plate, which included Seafood Monica topped with shrimp. While I enjoyed the shrimp, I found the sauce to be a bit bland. The red beans and rice were tasty, but I wished there were more sausage in the dish. The flavor was well-balanced with a hint of spice. The crawfish etouffee and rice had small tails, but there were enough in the dish. The gravy was rich and had a nice level of heat. The piece of French bread was not to my liking. The cashier was friendly and efficient. However, finding a clean seat was a challenge as the floor was dirty with ketchup and food from the trash can. Many of the table booths were greasy, but we managed to find a relatively clean one near the bathroom hallway. The decor, featuring pictures of old trucks and cars, was a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, especially with the addition of chopped parsley, despite not enjoying the pasta. My husband had a fried shrimp po-boy and thought it was pretty good.

I recently visited Skooters after enjoying a beautiful sunset on lake road. I ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner for takeout and was very satisfied. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior. I particularly enjoyed the special sauce that came with it, as it complemented the chicken perfectly. The service was exceptional and I highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered the fried shrimp salad and it was definitely worth the price. Each bite had plenty of shrimp and it was delicious.

I had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant on the first Friday of the month during Cruise Night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

The chocolate malted was gritty and awful. The service was slow and indifferent, with an excessive amount of religious references. It felt more like a church than a restaurant.
