Stayed on the Governor's level for a birthday splurge for my wife. Pricey, yes, treated like we were special.... oh yes. From check in to check out every staff member was impecable in service and courtesy. Treat yourself, you are worth it.PS. The photos are from our room.Nearby activities: The state Capitol is a block away. Take the free tour, not only is it history but you get to see this magnificent structure.Walkability: Some slight uphill walking up and down State Street, around the Capitol Building and walking to a couple of class A restaurants. If you are mobility challenged Lyft and Uber, or as my case at 72 years, take your time walking, with stops to shop, eat and have a cold beer or a brandy old fashioned. Enjoy.

We rented two rooms at the Madison Concourse Hotel and were happy with it. We arrived a couple hours prior to the designated check-in time, and they were able to get us to our rooms promptly. The location is in excellent proximity to the capitol, and several good restaurants nearby. State Street and the campus are a short walk away. The room was well-appointed and comfortable. Four $9 drink vouchers for four people was a nice touch. Paying $15 for a night of parking on-site seemed a bit stingy, considering the price already paid for the room, but the car was in a safe location. Overall, would stay there again.

Location is amazing. Amenities are great. Pool, hot tub, and gym was a plus. Starbucks in the lobby is also really convenient. Rooms are a bit dated but worth it with great views and location. Staff was friendly and having a hotel shuttle is really nice!

They said Governor’s club as though it was special, I guess special includes no room cleaning even when you ask TWICE in the am at desk with a manager. So $300+ to stay in an unclean room….VERY special! Beware fellow Badger parents. (No, they don’t tell you housekeeping policy at check in). Seems like consistent poor reviews are indeed a trend.
